National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ)
Programme Definition

NVQ’s are aimed at providing people with the skills to undertake a given occupation. Level 1 will provide the basic skills required for specific job while for many Level 2 is regarded as the minimum level required to undertake a job within limited supervision. Level 3 builds skills to a craft or supervisory level while Level 4 NVQ is primarily aimed at those in a management role.
