Students eligible for this programme will have already taken and achieved at least 5 GCSEs at school. There will be an opportunity for them to retake GCSEs to improve grades if required. All students are assessed for their ‘work and employer readiness. Interviews with employers are an essential part of the process.

Timescales

Courses start in September and run through to July.

Commitments

Students need to be supervised whilst in the workplace. Normal insurance cover e.g. employer and public liability is required. All companies involved will receive a free Health & Safety Consultancy visit.

Costs

Minimal! During the weekly 1-2 day per week, no charge. Small training allowance to student during block placement.
