This programme is specifically aimed at penultimate year undergraduates who want work over their vacation period to gain work experience. The undergraduates can be studying at local universities (Sussex and Brighton) or reside in Sussex and study at another university in the UK.

Timescales

July/August for 8 - 10 weeks.

Commitments

The employer is committed to:

• Supervise the undergraduate and give support and guidance during the project work
• Enable time for the undergraduate to deliver a presentation and project report to company directors
• Ensure usual health & safety induction given
• Support the student at their local finals day presentation

Costs

£185 per week, but a third of the money can be reclaimed through sponsorship of the scheme, which is currently from Business Link/Sussex Enterprise.
