Charles is living proof of how a policy of investing in youth and developing your own staff can pay dividends. Charles joined the company in his early 20s and is now a company director! Charles, who went to Varndean College, completed his A levels and after doing a range of different jobs, joined MacConvilles as a trainee surveyor. He attended day release at college and after a number of years of hard study passed his RICS exams. In the following years he continued his training at work gaining vital experience as he moved through the company in a steady series of promotions. The company's approach to investing in his training and development and the recognition of his abilities developed Charles' commitment to the company, a commitment that was rewarded 3 years ago when he became a director.
