Jomard Kurdi was a Business student at Brighton and Hove 6th Form College (BHASVIC). He followed a new type of Apprenticeship that combines academic qualifications, vocational qualifications with real work experience. Jomard worked at PJ Palmers letting agents in Hove as practical experience as part of his apprenticeship. At college Jomard had the chance to study subjects such as administration, marketing, accounting, customer service, communications, maths and IT. At work he was able to put these skills into practice and had special responsibility for updating the company's website and the window property displays. Both Jomard and his boss, Peter Fannon are really pleased with the way things worked out. Peter values the new skills (especially IT skills) and the fresh ideas that Jomard brought to his business while Jomard had the chance to gain valuable work experience which has now helped him to secure a full time job.
